Christmas at our place! (Gympie Lifestyle Photographer)

I was so excited to have all of our family to our home this year.  Mainly because finally we were able to cater for more than 3 people in our new house, built and moved into only 6 months ago!  We spent Christmas Day with our inlaws and kept last weekend free for a ‘Wixon get-together’.  We also celebrated my sister Ainsleigh (25th) and our Grandad’s (80th) birthday’s, from days previous.

So 15 adults and one toddler later, we were on our way to having a blast of a day.  I had spent a good portion of Nov 2011 scouring Ebay for ‘lawn games’ to play providing the weather was decent, and yes it was.  A breezy 26 degree day, overcast but not threatening.  Our three Border Collies had their eyes on ANY ball they could, even hiding one of our Croquet balls in the end – I’m still searching for it!

A mad panic to get lunch ready, a hustle to get the best chair at the table in between the 2 platters of freshly cooked mudcrabs (thanks to Andy), party hats, bad jokes, etc etc.  Full bellies, a bit of waddling to the lounge room to open our Secret Santa pressies and then some even retired for Nanna Naps!

We played Croquet, Cricket (until Ben snapped the bat in half) and then Warwick dragged out the Clay Pidgeon shooting.  How much fun!  Having not shot a shotgun for a few years, I was a bit rusty to start but certainly picked it up again quickly, proudly beating Andy’s score of NIL !   I did gain a few neat little bruises for my efforts.  I have to say my sister Teneale and I looked very lady-like in our party dresses!

Toasted sangas and proffertjies for dinner/dessert and then a game of Articulate.   Bed by 10.30pm.

Days like these certainly bring home to me how much I love my family and the relationships we have with each other.  I am also reminded how much we miss spending time with each other.  Looking forward to our May long weekend family reunion now~;)

Enjoy!

Hoping everyone had a beautiful Christmas and New Years’ spent with family and loved ones.  xx

Tully + Tia (Gympie Portrait Photographer)

If these two kids entered the ‘cute’ category, they’d win hands down!  Talk about turn it on for the camera!

As we walked back to our cars, I announced to Kylie, ‘Congratulations, you’ve officially become the quickest family portrait session I’ve EVER done!’  I guess that’s what happens when you have the best behaved kids model for you with these smiles and eyes to die for. Poor Tia had just recently lost 4 teeth at once, so was a bit gappy but she could certainly do the ‘no smile/serious’ look, perhaps even better than her brother!?

Such a fabulous session I just couldn’t wait to blog for Kylie!  A big thank you to her awesome hubby Andrew who surprised Kylie with a wonderful Gift Voucher.  What a man!

Enjoy!

Sun, surf, sand & Ice-cream! (Rainbow Beach Photographer)

One of my favourite all time clients is the lovely Jaime and her brood of boys (& Gaz too)!  This time, we met at Rainbow Beach, the day after Boxing Day, a balmy 34 degrees.

Every session we get together, and a new food is introduced to the boys, or at least one that they aren’t allowed to eat all the time; for good reasons!  I think Gaz was mortified when he went into clean up mode and I was trying to get the boys to ‘give Daddy a hug’ – in his nice white T-shirt btw!  So hilarious!  I must also thank ‘Creme de la Creme’.;)

Thank you Jaime and Gaz for continuing this fabulous project with your boys.  I can’t wait to plan next time…

Enjoy!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas! (Gympie Professional Photographer)

What’s more Aussie than Santa and his reindeer created the true bush way !?

Thank you to my beautiful long time friends Warren & Karen for this Christmas masterpiece!  Certainly a lot you can do with a bit of bush timber, bale of hay and electrical wire !  ;)

May you all spend a safe & happy Christmas and holiday season with your loved ones.

See you all in 2012!
