August last year, I travelled to Airlie Beach to document Bec & Nev’s wedding day. What a stunning location, perfect Whitsunday weather and glorious bunch of people to hang out with!
I wanted to share this wedding with you, for two reasons. Firstly, I pride myself on my Album Layouts and creating a storyline. I have won National awards for 3 years based on my albums and for that I am incredibly proud. Each wedding album is custom designed, different from the last and the next. The images dictate the layout and the flow, and especially the style of the wedding and the couple’s personalities. Every single wedding is different so why should their albums be the same.
Secondly, one of the most common questions I am asked is if I have a second shooter at weddings with me. Not very often I need a second shooter. If circumstances require me to I will, but mostly I am by myself. At this wedding, I was the sole photographer (my husband came to carry my bags and socialise) and worked alongside two Cinematographers, buzzing around madly. Unless that second photographer knows EXACTLY how I work, I find they get in my way and in the background of my angles.
The ebb and flow of this album is divine and I love how the emotion trickles onto the pages and the laughter and guest participation and spontaneity livens up as the evening progresses.
